Justice Rendered Causes a Stir

Scotty Phillips/Justice Rendered -- In April of this year, my website came on-line to promote the book Justice Rendered 2000. The web company and I suspected that there would be some anti-gun nuts out there who would have nothing better to do but attack my stances (and yours) on rights as a gun owner. Continued Below...

It didn't take long for our suspicions to be proved correct. It quickly appeared that the weapon of choice from the anti-gun wackos would be email.

Most of the attack emails were the normal stuff on how guns kill, we're destroying our children and so-on and so-forth. But there was one that just really struck a nerve with me. Let me share it with you:

"Mr. Phillips, I reviewed your website and looked over the book. No, I didn't buy it! People like you are the reason people like others and I will get rid of guns. I feel sorry for people who are victims of crime. I also have been a victim but I never wanted to take a gun and kill someone!"

I really couldn't make much sense of this message I had received. I fought the temptation to reply back to this email, but I had several questions that needed to be answered. Finally, I made the fatal mistake and hit that "send" button on my computer.

Well it didn't take long for my twenty years of military experience to kick-in. I had to quickly negotiate a cease-fire, as I was now receiving a barrage of email that overwhelmed my computer memory. Those little yellow envelopes on my email screen looked like cluster bombs from a B-52 bomber air assault. With a touch of the "block" senders" button, I was saved from certain annihilation.

I wasn't aware of how much of a sheltered life I had lived in the military until I retired from the Air Force in 1997. Since the creation of the Justice Rendered website and the release of my book, I've been amazed, not by those who agree with my stance on the second amendment, but those that don't. These people get downright nasty!

The military oath of "I swear to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America, so help me God" was always special to me. Now, I no longer serve in the military, but this oath still means a lot to me. My stance on gun ownership has more to do with not just the rights of the Second Amendment; it's about "all" the rights given to us by our Founding Fathers. I'll be-dammed if I'm going to let others take these rights from you and me!

Anyone, who knows anything about the history of this great country, knows that our Founding Fathers came here to obtain rights that had been taken away from them. These anti-gun nuts, wackos or whatever you want to call them, have somehow forgotten how this country was founded.

Now I've seen enough first-hand, in my travel overseas in the military, to know that once you start removing just one freedom or right, it quickly becomes the domino effect. Today it could be your right to own a gun; but tomorrow, your right to speak-out against anything may just as well be gone.

Maybe we're onto something here! Let's get crazy for a moment. If gun owners could just get the first amendment of speech taken away first, we could possibly see these anti-gun nuts throwing themselves off the nearest bridge. That would give us more time to enjoy our rights as gun owners.

Actually, I don't think any of us really have to worry about this fight over our second amendment rights or any other rights for that matter. With those in the liberal establishment warning us that President Bush placed arsenic in our drinking water and salmonella in our food, in just his six months as President, I don't think we have much time left!

Keep sending them emails. If you're an anti-gun activist, please forward all replies to www.Getalife.com. God I love this Country!
