They crave unilateral nuclear disarmament in face of the threat of Iranian nuclear arms. They support an Iranian dictator and oppose the removal of Zelaya in Honduras who was attempting to usurp a free government. They pretend to support human rights and then support Muslim extremism that is designed to enslave the entire female population. It is simply mind-boggling listening to their justifications for their beliefs and at the same time justify the actions of Barack Obama and the complicit role of the United Nations in manifold lunacies.

In Joseph A. Klein's Lethal Engagement: Barack Hussein Obama, the United Nations & Radical Islam, we come to see clearly the role of the Obama administration in the advance of the radical Islamic agenda. Klein is a reporter for FrontPage Magazine and the Canada Free Press. He martials explicit evidence that powerful moneyed interests within the Muslim world have been manipulating the UN, with the passive acquiescence of the Obama Administration, in an effort to undermine the west both militarily and financially.

It is not simply a matter of petro-dollars and UN money being siphoned off to fund terrorist operations around the world. It is more...the deliberate weakening of U.S. and western power and its ability to resist world domination by Muslim forces. This sounds rather grandiose and even conspiracy minded. However, a close view of the activities of UN organizations as well as the national and NGO activities of Islamic fundamental groups reveals a pattern. There is a concerted effort to neutralize the edge the United States holds in both nuclear and conventional weaponry while advancing schemes to allow radical Islamic governments to get their hands on weapons of mass destruction. A perfect illustration is current events in the Middle East involving the building of nuclear weapons by Iran. Sanctions by the UN fall into the category of face-saving, and the inaction of the Obama administration amounts to even less. As Klein points out, the president's words and actions indicate his discomfort with U.S. power and a desire to equalize forces, even though such a move could cost the lives and interests of many Americans.

In the Islamic Financial Jihad, Klein addresses a subject seldom discussed in the press or even by talk radio. It is the destruction of the western system of finance, banks, and currency. Fundamentalists want to see the institution of Islamic banking practices as the standard for world wide banking as well as the replacement of the US Dollar as the world reserve currency. The problem with this is that it both undermines US power and enhances Muslim organizations which benefit from certain mandated contributions.

Perhaps the biggest problem with the Global growth of Muslim influence is the insistence that all countries comply with Sharia-law. The Quran strictly stipulates that governments must adhere to its dictates encompassing such practices as the virtual enslavement of women and strictures on free speech regarding the muslim religion. Many Muslims wish to see Sharia law not be merely the standard, but required by every country. They use democratic institutions within both the United Nations and in individual countries to effect these changes.

Now, you may say it is the right of these people to work toward such goals in spite of the fact that the advancement of their agenda impinges on the rights of everyone else (especially the female half of the population). Yet if this is the case, then it is also incumbent on the rest of the world to know what the extremists are up to and the repercussions of their accomplishing their goals. This is why Klein's book is important. It spells out what Islamic interests are doing. It also points up the two main forces allowing their agenda to advance, the UN and Barack Hussein Obama.
