I’m Baa’aack
April 15th, 2008Yes, I am back in the blogosphere. I took a hiatus because I was working on other projects (see InDepthInfo). It is a never-ending undertaking.
I could not resist re-entering the fray. The battle between right and left seems to becoming more important every day, and victory for the left is a scary proposition. Need I enumerate the effects that would result from the imposition of the nanny state, from an economy burdened with wealth transfers (not to mention the disincentive to productivity)? Need I mention the loss of freedoms that are inherent in a government that deems it permissable to regulate our every action? Need I posit the decline of quality of life? etc…..
I don’t suppose I need to. I would think that most of these would be self-evident, but talking to a liberal about such matters is like casting pearls before swine. They can be led to water, but will not drink. (And so on.) They are so filled with feelings of compassion and envy and love and hate, that they can’t see that it is feelings that get one into trouble. As my father used to say, think with your head not your….. Well, for a time, in my youth, I was not so good about using my head. I must say that the results were disastrous. Not using our heads in governing the country will be equally disastrous.
So I am come again to plead for sanity, and for using our heads when dealing with the problems of society.
